About us

We are Roelof Lange and Jacqueline Brouwers and we are 54 and 47 years old. We both live in Almere and we work in forensic psychiatry.

Together we enjoy all sorts of beautiful things, such as art, nature and architecture. We like to be amazed by our surroundings, created in the far past. But also, we love all shapes of modern expressions of art wich have the ability to suprise us. In essence all positive creations of the human spirit. Most of all though, we love the beauty of the earth, its nature with all its aspects. Close by home, but if possible by traveling to other surroundings and by experienceing different cultures. When we were lucky enough to spend time in the fantastic surroundings of Veynes, in the southern of france, we developed the idea to create "I found a stone".

The way we work

We find stones, smooth and big enough to work with. Sometimes other people give them to us. ( Their names and finding places can be listed on the site ). The stones are paintes with acrylic paint and varnished to prexerve it. We attach a number on the stone and the adress of our website. Again the stone is varnished and we tae a picture of it. After that, we find a beautiful place to leave the stone behind. ( We are the only ones to find the spot and leave the stone there ). We take another picture of the stone in its new surroundings. We list the exact coordinates of the place where we leave our stone behind and keep all the information with the pictures in a document.

If someone finds the stone and reports it on the site, we will contact the finder. On our site, we will announce that the stone has been found, the location where it was found, and by whom ( If the finder will let us ). We would love to receive invitations to events that portray our vision.
